Gold Nugget for today: OPPRESSION NO MORE!!
Have you ever been trapped under the claws of Oppression? I have for many years and let me tell you, it was no pretty picture. For several years I hid behind a convincing smile and a happy go-lucky attitude, and no one could tell the difference (not even in church). Day after day I would suffer from the suffocating claws of oppression.
Life can really throw you curve balls that you really weren’t ready for-death in the family, fired from your job, the lost of your home, etc. Massive events in life that we're not prepared for can cause us to run into the arms of oppression. Does any of this Sound familiar? If so I want to share with you my story.
On February 28, 2009 I received a 3AM phone call from my oldest sister to tell me that our father had passed away from a massive heart attack. I can’t begin to describe to you the pain I immediately felt when I received this heart gripping news. My father and I had an excellent relationship-I was THEE daddy’s girl of all times. What really boggled my mind was that I just spoke to him that Friday and he sounded just fine. At the time I was living in South Carolina while my parents resided in South Florida. I remember driving home to bury my father in a quiet daze.
You may have had a similar experienced of losing a love one, or hurtful events that may have triggered you into a downward spiral of oppression in your life. I have GOOD NEWS my friend!! Today is your day for being Loose from the GRIP of Oppression!!!
Jesus Christ loves and cares for you so much friend. He desires to be the healer of your pain, but you must be willing to allow the Lord into your heart. You must also renounce oppression out of your life by confessing the word of God over your life. Be open to God through prayer, expressing the need of his help, and more importantly you must be willing to forgive. Forgive whoever you’re mad with…even if it's yourself. I feel a release happening on your behalf!!! Get ready for the latter day of your life to be greater than your past!!!
Say this out loud: I rebuke and cast out any spirit that would attempt to oppress me in the name of Jesus. Jesus, you went about doing good and healing all those oppressed of the devil (Acts 10:38).
So I thank you that I am no longer oppressed by the enemy!! I thank you that I’m healed from my pasted hurts!! And that I am established in righteousness and far from oppression (Isaiah 54:14). In Jesus name Amen!
God is so good and if the Lord did it for me, he will surely do it for you!!
Remember Growth is intentional and you’re responsible for it. Take the time Everyday~Grow Forward.
