Are you this donkey?

Matthew 21:2-3 Jesus says to his disciples: “Go into the village opposite you, and immediately you will find a donkey tied, and a colt with her. Loose them and bring them to Me. Vs.3 And if anyone says anything to you, you shall say, The Lord has need of them, and immediately he will send them.” The Lord will send for you my friend. This message is to encourage you to hold on, be strong, and don’t give up on the promises of God. This donkey was tied to a door post waiting on her chance to be ridden; the fulfillment of her purpose. You may be in a place to where you may feel like this donkey; tied up and can’t move forward with all those gifts and talents burning inside of you. 

Well my friend! The Lord sent me here to you this day with a word! “God has a special plan and purpose for your life; He has you in a special place preparing you for His perfect will.” Now I know at times it may not feel so special, but He has you secluded for a reason. The Lord has you tucked away in his secret workshop pruning you; only masterpieces’ are created in a time of isolation. Read John 15:1-2 to understand the power of God’s pruning.

When God sends for you, you are than loose from your present situation, and ushered into a newness of knowing who God is in you. When He sends for you, he has already prepared a place for you to dwell; that position and promotion is already in place for you, the right people that you need to get your business started are in place for you, your publishing company for your new book are already in place for you, the right relationships, and so on…God has everything figured out for you. I know at times it does get frustrating because you look around you and it seems as if everyone else is fulfilling their purpose and you’re stuck; tied to a door post. Be encourage my friend the Lord has you on his mind. 

There was a recent event that occurred in my life to where on my job there was an available position (with great hours and more money), who wouldn’t want that? The issue was with all of my hard work and integrity on the line, my boss called someone else to be in the position rather than me; I must say I was a little upset. There was an intense internal conversation going on with me expressing to God how I felt about the situation. Once I was done stating my claim, a sudden peace from God calmed my soul. The Lord kindly reminded me of the donkey that was tied up for the Master’s use. I smiled and wipe the tear from my eyes and thanked God for his calming peace.

 This donkey had a special assignment!!! She was chosen to usher in the King during his time of celebration. Just like this donkey, God has a special plan and assignment for your life as well and it is good. I immediately was reminded that it was not my time; God didn’t send for me just yet, and the individual that was chosen for the promotion was well qualified and deserving of that position. So now I’m ok, and I don’t mind being the donkey tied to the door post waiting for Jesus to send for me. Sometimes the Lord has us alone in a secret place in Him for a season; a season of isolation, to prepare you for the greatness he has prepared for you.  So be encourage my dear friend for God has you on his mind, and remember the Lord knows how to send for you J
