Take a look back…

Take a look back and reflect on the good things that occurred in your life this year. I’m glad I caught you before the hustle and bustle of Christmas shopping, holiday meal planning, and finding cheap flights to book for out of town relatives. Although all of that is good, I would like for you to take a moment to reflect back on God’s goodness and remembering the reason for this season; the birth of Jesus Christ.
We’ve made it to December and 2012 is peaking around the corner; take this very moment and reflect back on how far you’ve come. Wow!! You’re not the same person that you were coming into 2011; you’re stronger, wiser, more confidant in your individual self!! Bravo too you my friend; I can see the righteous glow all over your face, so smile more and give yourself credit you’ve come along ways.
Reflect back on goals that were met, visions that came to past, healthy relationships that were formed, friendships that were strengthen, engagement rings that were accepted, weddings that took place, babies that were born or even conceived. Reflect back on the goodness of God, the trails you’ve overcome, the comfort you received during the hardship, the promotion you've so rightfully earned, and the love and forgiveness you decided to embrace in this process we call life.
2011 was simply preparing you for what is next; so get ready to laugh more, love harder, forgive without reason, and walk into your destiny of life!! I am so happy for you!! Isn’t the Lord great?!!  I simply love this time of year; the cold weather and the Holiday/Christmas Cheers. But what I enjoy the most is reflecting back on God’s goodness. God has so many great plans for you!!! I am super excited for you (doing my happy dance). So embrace the final preparations of this year, and get ready to walk into the newness of next year!!!

  1. Hi Mechelle. I loved this post! Thank you for the boost of encouragement as we end one year and go into the next. I see we are just alike, in terms of using this time of year as a time of reflection. I do it every Fall/Winter, and especially around the holidays. God has been so good and faithful to us hasn't He? This has been the greatest year of my life, and somehow I know next year is going to be even greater. I'm so thankful that we've met. I pray that you have a wonderful Christmas and the best New Year ever!

    Blessings,
    Kathy
