The Blessing or THINGS

Blessings are not defined by the THINGS (houses, cars, etc.) you are surrounded by. Blessings are defined by your internal peace, the happiness and wholeness of your soul, the joy in your heart, and the everlasting love that you carry with you every single day, shows forth the blessings in your life. Now the THINGS are just an added bonus to the blessings that occur within. Take your eyes off of what you don’t have at this present moment and focus in on what God has blessed you with internally-mental peace, joy, happiness inside.

Do you realize that there are people in this world that have to take pills in the morning to get up and pills to settle them down at night, just to get rest at night. And here we are complaining to God about the THINGS we don’t have. GET YOURSELF TOGETHER!!! Regain your focus on what matters the most-take inventory on how bless you really are, and REJOICE to find how abundantly blessed you are. **Written In Love**

Day 7: Winning the Wars Within

Accept the new season that you’re going into. Not long after David’s victorious slay of Goliath, he was given the opportunity to live and work in the Kingdom for King Saul. He went from a shepherd boy to living in the palace almost overnight. If you’re familiar with the story thereafter, King Saul grew to fear David because he knew that the Lord was with him-David prospered in everything that he did. Having the Lord on your side doesn't necessarily mean that life will always be peachy cream, but it does mean you have someone weighing the storms out with you.  Storms in life are inevitable, but how you respond to those storms shows the truest essence of your character and the development thereafter.

In concluding the Winning the Wars Within series on Day 7 was very significant and on purpose. The biblical meaning of the number 7 is “Completion,” and while closing this chapter in your life I pray that you will completely embrace what God has for you in the next season of your life. I smell victory in the air, and it smells really good on you. Your time is NOW and not later.  Be completely healed, completely motivated for purpose, be complete in your Spirit, your soul, and your body.

Day 7 Assignment: Embrace Day 7 today by identifying areas in your life that you desire to be complete in- your heart, mind, soul, relationships, finances, etc. Write them down in your journal and then lay them at the feet of God in prayer. Remember Christ came not so that we may have life only, but life more abundantly (overflowing) (John 10:10).

**It was a privilege and honor to be your teacher on Winning the Wars Within (I hope you gain something insightful during these 7 days). I pray that a victorious healing has taken place in your life, to where a shift was created in the space of your mind, and a powerful move of God has taken place in your life. God Bless**

The Next Series will be titled: Step out the Boat- We will be discussing making courageous moves and steps to overcoming your deepest fears in life. Stay tune for Day 1 of the New series. Talk with You Soon J

Day 6: Winning the Wars Within

Now that your Goliath is face down on the ground, it’s time for you to finish the job. After Goliath fell unconsciously to the ground, David didn't just stop there; he took Goliath’s sword and decapitated the giant’s head with it (see 1 Samuel 17:51). I don’t know about you, but a body with a detach head is DEAD.  I believe what God is saying to you today is to cast down every thought and imagination that tries to convince you that your Goliath is not dead. Although defeated, the enemy will always try his best to deceive you into believing that you've lost the wars within. Tell that NO GOOD devil where to go and how to get there!! And continue to stand on the living word of God.

There are many thoughts out there in the world, just like there are many opinions; you have to be mindful of the daily thoughts that come to mind. All the enemy need is for you to cultivate one defeated (oppressive) thought into your mind, and you will begin to take on the form of that very thought believed. That is why it is SO important for you to familiarize yourself with the thoughts of God-by reading his daily word.  Once you know the Lord’s thoughts concerning your life (for example “we are more than conquerors through him who loved us”- found in Romans 8:37), you will know what God says about you.

Knowing what God says about you (that you are more than a conqueror), when another thought comes to mind (a “you’re not good enough” defeated thought) you can reject it, why? Because you already believe what God says about you being more than a conqueror. If you accepted Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior than you also must accept his way of thinking (see Philippians 2:5). It’s time to close the door to defeated thoughts; your Goliath is DEAD FOR REAL.

Day 6 Assignment: Get a new way of thinking. Today I want you to really take inventory over the thoughts you have allowed to cultivate in your mind. Ask yourself are they thoughts of defeat, or victorious thoughts? Your written assignment is to find scripture on what God says about the negative thoughts you've taken inventory over. For example if you’re having condemning thoughts about a past sin committed (which is a negative oppressive thought), than you want to find out what God says about that thought- Romans 8:1 says  There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit.

**Every answer to your question is found in the bible, use your resources. If you’re like me I may know the scripture that I am looking for, but have no clue sometimes where the scripture is found in the bible. So Google has become my search engine friend. Look up whatever you need, and if you don’t know any scriptures off the top of your head, go to your favorite search engine and typed in bible scriptures related to whatever defeated/negative thought that you’re dealing with (i.e. bible scriptures on loneliness). I can promise you a list of scriptures or articles will pop up. A great website you can take a look at that has several different translations of the bible is: www.biblegateway.com  J

I’m Excited for your GROWTH!!! See you tomorrow for Day 7 WWW training.

Day 5: Winning the Wars Within

The latter part of Psalms 30:5 says “Weeping may endure for a night, but joy cometh in the morning.” I love this passage of scripture because it lets me know that your pain, disappointments, and your fears, are only temporary. The internal wars that you continue to face are coming to an end. I believe that God has given you the strength to release your smooth stone from your slingshot, and aim it for your Goliath’s head (remember it took David only one stone to knock Goliath down to his death). It’s time to aim your stone at your Goliath’s head.

There is no more time for tear shedding (unless they’re tears of joy). Grab some tissue, dry your face, and do what you have to do, because you’ve cried your last tears over this situation. Rejoice my friend because your joy is peaking around the corner at you, ready to engulf you with the joy of the Lord. I’m a living witness that when you place every hindrance, struggle, pain, etc. into the Lord’s hand that he SHALL come through for you. My primary goal today is to encourage you to hold on, don’t give up, back up from that ledge and believe that God holds the very answers that you’re seeking for in the very palm of his hand.

Will you trust Him today and forever more? Will you believe him to be your provider and closets friend? Everything that you desire and need, God has it for you. Your Moment is HERE and NOW, you are no longer standing in the back of the line, you are now in the front of the line- It’s not only your TIME to shine, but it's also your TURN.  God Bless.

Day 5 Assignment: Write down in your journal your pain, the hurt you’re experiencing and the disappointments. When the tears and anger has pasted, forgive. Once you forgive (by letting it ALL go), than your joy cometh in the morning.

See You Tomorrow for Day 6 J

Day 4: Winning the Wars Within

Have you ever known the army or military force to go out on a mission without a plan in place? I hope not, for our sake and the sake of their lives as well. The same goes for you, having a plan in place is on the same lines of importance. On Day 1 we talked about identifying your giant(s), knowing them by name. The reason I had you identify the giants that you’re facing, is because the next step is to have a “Tent Strategy” meeting. A Tent Strategy is a secluded place where you go to meet with your Commander-in-Chief (God) to strategize a plan of action to defeat the Goliath within. Your Tent Strategy may take place in your office, your prayer room, while working out, or even a quiet place outside-any place where you are unhindered from the outside world of opinions.

Your Strategy plan may not come in the form the world or yourself are accustom to. For example when David confirmed to King Saul that he would be the one to battle Goliath, King Saul immediately clothed David in his personal battle gear, which King Saul was accustom to. However, for others this would have been a sign of honor to wear, but for David it was very uncomfortable for him to wear.  The armor that David had on was only tailored to fit King Saul’s body.
Some people may mean well when giving you their tailored plan of action for your situation. But you must understand that your Commander-in-Chief’s action plan MUST weigh in heavier than the opinion plans of others.  Although King Saul meant well in what he did, God had a different strategy for David. He removed King Saul’s armor and went outside to find 5 smooth stones for his slingshot, and the rest was history.

You must understand that your Tent Strategy is a place where you and God meet, and not the opinions of people. Your preparation will not be the same for the next person, that’s why it’s so important to listen to the instructions of the Holy Spirit who is there with you on the battle field. With a God strategy, the enemy will never see your left hook coming-just like Goliath never saw that smooth stone coming for his head. So it’s time for you to get your God-Strategy in place.

Day 4 Assignment: Create a day, time, and place where you and God will have Tent Strategy sessions. These sessions can be as short or as long as you require them to be. While in session, take the list that you created on Day 1 (identifying your internal Goliath)  and present that list to God (your Commander-in-Chief).

Keep note of everything that the Lord tells you, and if you don’t hear anything from the Lord right away, be patient and stand on the scripture 1 Corinthians 10:13 that reads: No temptation has overtaken you except such as is common to man; but God is faithful, who will not allow you to be tempted beyond what you are able, but with the temptation will also make the way of escape, that you may be able to bear it. God will always give you a plan of escape, so be patient.

Day 3: Winning the Wars Within

Who’s in your corner? Although we are focusing in on how to Win the Wars Within, the company that you keep can either help you in this process, or hurt you. Have you ever had a person in your life that was negative all the time about everything? They were bitten by the “Woe it’s Me” bug. Now don’t get me wrong we may have our moments of being a pessimist at times, but I’m talking about someone who is like that every day on the hour. I'm sure having a friend like that can become very draining. Or on the other end of the spectrum you may have friends who positively encourages you to be your best truest self, even if it requires them to tell you what you need to hear instead of what you want to hear.

In a war (especially the ones within) it’s very important to know who’s on your side, and who your enemies are. You can recognize this by becoming very observant about the company that you keep. Take notice in what bucket your friends are carrying. Is it a bucket of negative fuel to keep the fire of wars within burning high, or are they running to your rescue carrying a bucket of positivity to help strengthen you to win within? Are your friends self-centered and skating on the lines of becoming a narcissist, or do they have your best interest in mind? 1 Corinthians 15:33 (ERV) reads: Don’t be fooled: “Bad friends will ruin good habits.”  The good news is that you can control the company that you keep. So my question to you today is who’s in your corner?

Day 3 Assignment: Take inventory today on the company that you keep. Write down the names of your closest friends, and the bucket that they carry to your situation. I’m a firm believer in reciprocity in any relationship, so I would like for you to write down the qualities that you bring as well to the table of your friends. Ask yourself which bucket am I carrying to my friend's situation?

Day 2: Winning the Wars Within

Now that you've identified the giants within, your next step is to make sure you possess a winner’s attitude. Your attitude is the determining factor to winning or losing your personal wars within. You must prepare yourself to fight. Do you realize that the enemy has dedicated his entire life to destroying yours? His plan and mission is to steal from you, kill the very life in you, and destroy everything about you and the ones closest to you in the process-you must take on a winner’s attitude. A person with a winner’s attitude takes on the role of the victor of their situation, rather than the victim. When you gave your life over to the Lord, you were immediately transitioned into the Kingdom of God-which rendered you  full access to the kingdom's beneficial package (and you didn't have to put in the usual 90 days of work to receive it).

With these benefits comes an internal protection plan as well. For example before you had no peace in your life, and when you accepted Jesus Christ (the Prince of Peace) as your Lord and Savior, he moved peace into your heart. Whatever cup(s) you need filled in your life (love, peace, joy, healing for your soul, etc.) God has the pitcher full and ready to pour into your empty cups. You must stand on God’s word and believe that he wishes above all things that you prosper, be in GOOD health, even as your soul(your mind, your will, and emotions) prospers- see 3 John 1:2. An attitude to win is the second step to Winning the Wars Within.

Day 2 Assignment: Write down the areas in your life that you've been playing the victim role in, rather than the victor. If nothing comes to mind, pray and ask the Lord to reveal to you any hidden areas of fear, discontent, or even day to day stress in your life. Remember all honest answers are welcome.
